Calling all cat lovers! Originally, National Cat Day was founded as a way to bring awareness to the number of homeless cats in the area. This national holiday that still brings attention to homeless cats, but also allows for cat owners to express their love for their furry pet, happens on October 29 every year. Canada even celebrates the holiday on August 8th!
How are you going to celebrate National Cat Day?
You could adopt a cat! If you’re willing to bring a cute little furball into your home, head to your nearest shelter or cat rescue.
If you don’t have the room or ability to bring an animal home, you can always take the donation route and give to cats in need! Donate blankets or provide food and toys to animal welfare organizations near you.
If you are a total cat lover and have a cat (or five) as a pet already… treat the to something special to celebrate this National Cat Day! A new toy, bed, some tasty treats or even wall shelves for some extra exciting exercise are always great options!
If you’ve continued reading this far, we are assuming you absolutely love and adore cats. Although this National holiday celebrates cats on October 29, there are many other days throughout the year that call attention to your cute, fluffy kittens!
